After my first career was as a professional musician (about 10 years), my high school interest in Physics led me to return for my BA in Physics from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, I worked several years for the SC Department of Labor as an OSHA Compliance Officer in the field of industrial hygiene where I conducted weekly health inspections in many different industries. In addition to all that I saw of industry in SC, I learned a lot about how businesses can respond efficiently and effectively to federal regulations.

I work as a Senior Product Officer at a midzie community bank. I started my career in consulting, where I have a wide breadth of consulting across financial services, supply chain, and FinTech. I have both consulted and volunteered to support start-up FinTech companies and worked as a mentor to offer advice on their businesses. In addition, as part of Corporate Responsibility while in consulting, I worked in Mexico City with local agricultural entrepreneurs and sustiainbility non-profits to provide insight, advice, and support.

I started in business at an early age. Launching 2 successful technology companies over the past 25 years and managing them.
